Humidity Control
J D UltraSonics Ltd have developed a Digital Humidification Unit (DHU) which maintains a set Relative Humidity (RH) value in an enclosed environment. It consists of a Humidity Sensor, an electronic Control Unit and a mains power supply.
The humidity sensor continuously monitors the RH in it’s local environment and converts the measured value into a digital electronic signal that is sent to the control unit for interpretation.
The Control Unit receives the digital data from the Humidity Sensor and calculates the RH and Ambient Temperature that are then shown on numerical displays. The RH value is sampled at regular intervals and compared against the desired setting. If the measured value is below this setting a solenoid valve is switched on to activate the atomisers and raise the RH. When the measured RH value exceeds the setting the solenoid is turned off. In this way an average RH is maintained in the environment.
The Temperature reading is also compared against defined threshold values and used to control external heating or cooling devices in a similar manner.
The Power Supply converts Mains voltage to 24 Volts DC to provide both the Control Unit and Sensor power requirements.
